Here's my quick take on the abortion issue: we need to take a step back and see the big picture. Our Supreme Court as an institution is no longer a judicial body; it is a political body that is unelected and whose charge is to carry out an extreme-right agenda that primarily benefits the fossil fuel industry, corporate power, and other anti-democratic forces that are undermining fair elections and personal freedom.
I couldn't agree more. This is a right wing partisan court with at least 2 members who were elevated illegitimately, Gorsuch & coney-Barrett, through the machinations of Mitch McConnell. The court needs to be reformed, starting with the impeachment of Clarence Thomas, who is obviously compromised through the traitorous actions of his wife in supporting Trump's attempted coup. Kavenaugh committed perjury in his confirmation hearing, as did Coney-Barrett.
Riddle me this....Was there no way for Democrats to block Trump’s appointees? Seriously, the GOP did it to Garland. I smell collusion from the Democrats, because they are largely indistinguishable from Republicans, except for the empty rhetoric they spout on abortion. Pelosi just helped an antiabortion ‘Democrat’ beat a prochoice Democrat in Texas. She’s worse than Trump in my opinion, because she is cock blocking real progressives from holding office, in favor of candidates who are Democrats in name only.
Money rules, and if we can’t get rid of citizens United or other illegitimate supreme court rulings, we’re gonna be screwed. The rulings are incomprehensible to anyone who understands justice. A federal appeals court ruled yesterday that even if you have a restraining order against you you can still keep your guns. I have a restraining order against my neighbors who have pointed guns at my head and will be able to continue doing so the justices said the founders would be so upset by taking the guns away from abusive men, back when there was no such thing as an abusive man because women had no rights at all whatsoever. They also didn’t have millions of men running around carrying guns in their pockets so it is yet another shameful decision. What is wrong with these people?
